Beautiful Outdoors Wedding

When my sister said that she wanted to put on a beautiful outdoors wedding where she (the bride) comes in a carriage I was thinking NO WAY, but wow she pulled it off. Im not sure of the exact cost of her wedding , however I know it was very cost efficient just thought Id share some of her techniques for anyone thinking up ideas for the big day. First off the place where she had her wedding was on a small bridge above a pond at a public park. In others words you simply call the city parks and recreation office and reserve the spot this is usually free. Her brides maid dresses came from Dillard's. They were cute little yellow sundresses that she bought in the coldest part of the winter! Yep if your trying to save plan WAAAY ahead! the dresses ran around 7 -15 bucks a piece! The wedding dress was found during a day after our local wedding expo where she picked up and registered for all types of coupons so when she went into the store on martin Luther King Day (which added a additional discount) her gorgeous wedding dress was UNDER 200 BUCKS! She made her bouquet and the brides maids bouquet as well so they were xacally as she dreamed it would be. The invitations were created by yours truly, however I simply made the initial invitation and printed out everything she needed at fedex! My sister took her time putting them together and sending them off! The picture that was used as the background were the bride and groom rings sitting in the middle of a sunflower taken once again by yours truly!  She also made the flower girls tiara and basket. It was a small wedding and decorations was compliments of our church along with a few loving ladies with a great eye for decor. We live in a small town where antiques are plentiful therefore when she had the idea of the bridesmaids coming in in one old school car and the groom and the grooms men coming in their own old school car it was as easy as spotting them in town and asking the owners to be apart of this special moment, which they were agreed to and was happy to do so showing off their awesome ride! And her reception was held at a cabin that can be rented out that was around the corner from the pond where her wedding was held!. All in all the major cost was the horse and carriage, the catering, the invitations,  and the clothes and accessories that were worn during the wedding. In other words GO SIS! She did it! So the best advise that I can give for anyone wanting to throw a beautiful wedding on a budget, plan WAAAY ahead and don't be afraid to dedicate your time to learning all these cute art and craft ideas! USE THE INTERNET TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. DIY is everywhere out there!
